1. On The Border contains some great stuff including the life-changing 'Already Gone' (I have even quit a job because this song gave me the strength to) co-written by Glenn Frey's dear friend Jack Tempchin, who I was lucky enough to interview for my celebrity column in a Burbank newspaper/5().

2. Desperado is another great album of theirs and these three albums are by far their best. Their debut album, and One Of These Nights and The Long Run are good L.P.'s which all get 4 stars. Already Gone, Best Of My Love, My Man, James Dean & Is It True are the highlights here. An under valued album/5().

7. The third album from the Eagles is a great album on a par with Hotel California in terms of consistency and quality. Desperado is another great album of theirs and these three albums are by far their best. Their debut album, and One Of These Nights and The Long Run are good L.P.'s which all get 4 stars/5().

8. On their third album, the Eagles finally produced a No. 1 hit with "The Best of My Love", but most of On the Border is marked by tough rockers, not sweet ballads. "Already Gone" is a brusque kiss-off and "Midnight Flyer" a bluegrass kicker, while "James Dean" recalls the s rebel icon, and the title track reflects on paranoia and creeping Big Brotherism/5().
